GSC Power Division billet S3 camshafts for the Subaru EJ207 version 7 and above with single AVCS. These camshafts are designed for drag use only, fully built engines with a power range of 750-1,300 WHP and an RPM range of 4,500-9,500. Certain engine modifications are required to utilize the true potential of the S3s: built bottom end (closed deck or sleeved), built/ported head, all supporting fueling upgrades, and aggressive dyno tuning. When creating our new valve line we set out to create the best performance, longest lasting valves available to the aftermarket. Using advanced 3D design and simulation software, we have created a stronger and higher flowing valve head design. We flow test prototype valve heads in the specific applications to make sure we have the highest flowing valve head available on the market today. With the materials used, we have less valve distortion at the face than any of the tested designs. Less distortion allows for better sealing under extreme conditions and more consistent performance throughout the life of the valve. GSC Power Division Exhaust Valve 2014 new valves are sure to become the industry standard for sport compact performance valves.

Valve Features

• Swirl polished heads for smoother air flow over the valve

• Back cut to reduce valve weight for higher RPM, higher boost pressure, and allow for more aggressive cam profiles without increasing valve spring seat pressures

• Valve stems are micro polished to allow for less oil retention on the stem, which creates less drag on the stem to guide for a smoother motion

• Intake valves are a modified 21-4n stainless and exhausts are a modified 23-8n stainless material for high heat capacity while maintaining longevity

• Valve tips are either hardened or have a stelite wafer tip fused so that the tip is within 5 Rockwell C of the rocker or valve tappet for extended life and less wear

• Valve tip lengths - we have taken extra time to adjust tip heights on the applications to require less tipping of the valve, to maintain proper tip height for proper valve train geometry, and to cut down on install times when setting valve lash

• We have also adjusted the keeper groove to properly balance intake and exhaust spring pressures to reduce the use of valve spring shims and maximize performance from our spring and retainer kits

• Valves will work with an OEM keeper/lock or, when available, our upgraded keeper/lock. It is not mandatory, but it is suggested, that any valve lock not be reused on performance applications due to material grooving

These are a replacement for the factory beehive springs and will work with the factory seat and retainer for an easy and inexpensive upgrade. Our beehive spring is made with an ovate wire which utilizes advanced material heat treatment methods for superior load loss capabilities. GSC Power Division Stroker R2 Camshafts The 7008R2 is a high lift, very aggressive profile, with a short overall duration to keep a lower usable RPM band. The 7008R2 is designed to rev between 4000-8500 RPMs and should be used with a stroked engine or added displacement engine. The peak lift of 12.0mm intake and exhaust will require upgraded valve springs and a titanium retainer with special attention to seal to retainer clearance. With the lift of this profile, it is suggested to only use the 5041/5040 Ti retainer and spring kits due to valve seal to retainer clearance. The 5041 can be used to 40+psi and the 5040 to 32psi on the R2 profile at 8500 RPMs without float or flutter issues. The profile will work fine on the OEM rocker arm and the zero-tick lifter, or with the OEM lifter. We have seen gains of 25-30 WHP over the S2 profile on the stroked applications, with much more possible when used with a ported head and aftermarket intake manifold. **If using aftermarket cam gears (especially AEM) check the bolt length. Some cam gears are too thick for the OEM bolt on the billet cams, a 40mm underhead length bolt may be necessary in this case**
